My Cubano husband loves it so it must be good! We go here several times a week for lunch. Sometimes eat in some times take out. The crew is very friendly and the price can't be beat! Small menu but all of it is good. Hot table food menu changes daily so no getting bored.

Great coffee and sandwiches. Same food for years, always make a point of stopping by when in town. Get and go family run place.

Rating above should be three and a half stars. Definitely a family-run latin business with all the usual loud salutations between regular customers and the crew. The coffee was served warm. The eggs hot and right! The fufu was room temperature and bland. The slice of ham is what added the flavor to the meal. In spite of these the dining area is nicely air conditioned, the portion was large, and the ambience easy going.

Delicious Cuban sandwich. You can tell they make their own pork. Good flavor. Very friendly staff.

Nice little family run cafe. Good coffee, guava pastries, steak sandwiches, aroz y frijoles, etc. Great place to hit when you want a quick, affordable bite to eat. Home-cooked flavor, and personable staff. Really cheap breakfast and lunch specials! Personally, I think it's MUCH BETTER than the "cafe" across the street attached to the chevron. Better food and the coffee is like night and day.

¿Quieres deliciosa comida cubana? Vaya aquÃ! We went here for some authentic Cuban food and were not disappointed. The place is tiny, the sign on the wall says "Capacity - 10 people." It's typical of a family run place: clean, outstanding food, personal service. I ordered the special of the day which was a fried pork chop. It came with black beans, yellow rice, sweet plantains, and toasted flat bread. Everything was perfect. The pork was pan fried golden brown and seasoned just right. The rice was flavorful and laced with beans and some sort of sausage (I think). The plantains were super sweet and not over cooked. I also had a cup of their espresso. Wow, it was good. It's a rich dark espresso with pure sugar cane juice added...perfect combination of sweet and bitter. The best part is the price. Four of us ate a big lunch complete with drinks for well under $40. I'll be back for sure!

It's a tiny little spot right on the SE corner of Dixie and Sample. Now let me first off say that I don't want to take anything away from this family run establishment, and I am greatful to get Cuban fare in Broward county. Not to mention I'm the Brazilian capital of the US. But the food is just good enough to cover any Cuban craving you may have. It has a true Cuban feel when you walk in, not many seats which makes things more intimate, but it is no El Sibone, Sandys, or five brothers. The cafe con leches are ok, not great and a colada is just enough to get your day started. To me a good Cuban coffee will be soft and creamy not only right away but even 10 minutes after the first sip. And this stuff goes flat half the time. But that being said it's good enough to get in a pinch on my way to the beach. The sandwiches are ok, a bit too greasy and I find it funny that they don't serve cheese bread like any other Cuban spot in Miami or Key West.
